Simon Vue is the legislative coordinator at CBHA. Prior to this position, he interned at the Office of Assemblymember Kansen Chu in Sacramento providing research and data support to staff on several key legislation. Simon also worked as program staff at the Racial and Ethnic Mental Health Disparity Coalition and served as a member of the California Behavioral Health Planning Council.

As the legislative coordinator, Simon’s role entails tracking all state legislation related to behavioral health, coordinate with staff and policy committee members to write position letters on bills, and coordinate policy committee meetings.

Simon graduated with a Politics degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is a first-year graduate student in the Master’s Program of Public Policy and Administration at Sacramento State. He is strongly passionate about advocating for quality and accessible services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate for underserved populations.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys chasing waterfalls, hiking, and snowboarding. His favorite foods are sushi and tacos
