We are very excited to introduce a new logo for the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies!!! The choice to develop a new logo was not taken lightly, as the current one built around Proposition 63 has been our identity for some time. However, we were around long before Prop 63, and our identity and the work that we do goes well beyond it.The process to develop a new logo was a very thoughtful and deliberative one that included input from our staff and Board of Directors, in partnership with BrandedSac who guided us in the effort and designed our new logo for us based on our feedback.

To go along with the changes happening here at CBHA,we decided it was time for a new transformation in 2017. And here it is!!!
With regards to the new logo, please note that we also have a new acronym – CBHA. This combines the three “C’s” and makes it a lot easier to say and type. The letter C in our logo looks like there's only one, but it contains all the three C’s in our agency name. With that change, we will start using CBHA as our new acronym instead of our former CCCBHA.
A little history is helpful here.In 1985, we were founded as the California Council of Community Mental Health Agencies and had an initial logo at that time shown below. After the success of Prop 63, otherwise known as the Mental Health Services Act which voters passed in 2004, we revised our logo to include Prop 63.In 2015 we changed our identity to the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies to be inclusive of the full field of behavioral health including the substance use disorders community and the logo was changed to reflect that. While Prop 63 and the Mental Health Services Act will continue to play an important part in the work that we do, it was time to develop a new identity that helps move us into a new era.

Our new identity will continue to represent the vision and mission we've been promoting since our inception in 1985. Our new look will be on all of our online and print communication materials. We decided on shades of blue and green based on its relation to mental and behavioral health. The ‘box’ surrounding our acronym represents dialogue and a collaborative approach in the work that we do with everyone who is involved in the behavioral healthcare field.

We hope you'll be as excited as we are in our new identity and support us in this new change.
