We will have Advocacy Day the day after the Policy Forum. Advocacy Day give members the chance to visit the state Capitol and meet with state legislators to discuss behavioral health concerns in California.

There will be presentations and policy committee meetings during the Policy Forum on April 10. The policy subcommittees will meet to discuss current policies, funding issues, and get valuable feedback from our members and their communities.

Advocacy Day on April 11 will start off in the morning with an informative session to prepare members to visit the state Capitol. To help keep things coordinated and efficient, we'll be working with your State Senate and Assembly representative's offices to schedule our Advocacy Day meetings. This is to ensure all constituents from that district can attend a meeting with their representatives, we can evenly distribute attendance, and prevents the legislator from being asked to meet multiple times.

Please let us know at your earliest convenience what district(s) you are in and whether you already have a strong relationship with your legislators. Please include home district and all business offices districts. If you don't know who your reps are, you can find out at: http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/. Email your district and district representative to Jay Calcagno, policy and legislative coordinator at jcalcagno@cccbha.org.

CBHA will make the appointments with the legislators and members will be given packets with talking points and policy information to leave behind.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given to cancellations made one week prior to any event date. Cancellations made in writing to response@cccbha.org three weeks prior to any event date will be refunded 50% of fees paid. A $100 administrative fee will apply to late registrations.
